More ways to access

your way.
Discover the reading adjustments and optional voice, Libras and navigation tools available on the website.

Reading adjustments
The accessibility button in the header opens a panel with text sizes from 90% to 200%, font options, increased spacing, contrast, grayscale, low saturation, and highlighted links and focus. There are adjustment combinations for low vision, easier reading, fewer stimuli, and colors and cues.
The reading guide follows the pointer and keyboard focus. On mobile, its position can be adjusted in the panel. You can also use your device's zoom and assistive technologies.
Listen to the content
Read-aloud uses the voices available in the browser and lets you listen, pause, resume and stop reading, as well as adjust its speed. It reads the main content and image descriptions. Voice availability and quality vary by device.
We prefer local Portuguese voices. Some browser voices may use external services to process the text.
Translation into Libras
VLibras is an external automatic translator. It is loaded only after specific confirmation in the panel. Connection data, texts sent for translation and usage metrics may be processed by the service. The permission applies to the current page.
Automatic translation may have limitations and does not replace a human interpreter. The external translator is not available in the administration area or attendance confirmation, to protect participants' data.
Face navigation
The optional head-movement navigation tool allows you to control the pointer, scroll the page and select elements by dwelling. It requires a compatible camera and your permission. The microphone is not used.
Images are processed on the device itself. Camera content is not recorded or sent to the institute. You can stop the tool using the on-screen controls. Performance depends on the browser, camera, lighting and equipment.
Keyboard and screen readers
Use Tab to move forward, Shift + Tab to go back and Enter to activate links and buttons. The space bar activates buttons and the arrow keys let you choose between voting options. The “Skip to content” link is available at the start of navigation.
Tool windows can be closed with Esc or the close button. Pages use hierarchical headings, navigation regions and descriptive texts for informative images.
Motion and screen
The content adapts to different screen sizes. The website respects the system's reduced-motion preference and offers an additional adjustment in the panel. There are no videos or audio that play automatically.
Preferences and ongoing improvement
Reading adjustments are saved in this browser and can be reset through the panel. Voice, camera and translator tools are optional. The terms for using information are described on the privacy page.
These tools complement assistive technologies and do not represent certification of full compliance. The institute's official channels are being prepared and will be shared on the website to receive suggestions and reports of barriers.
